Résultats du concours des IRSC de l'automne 2022

Des chercheurs de l’Institut de recherche du Centre universitaire de santé McGill (IR-CUSM) entameront 31 nouveaux projets dans le but d’accélérer les découvertes au service de la santé humaine, grâce au soutien des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC) dans le cadre du concours de subventions Projet de l’automne 2022. Les équipes de l’IR-CUSM ont reçu un financement total de plus de 16.5 millions de dollars.

Pour le concours de cette année, 382 subventions de recherche ont été approuvées à travers le Canada, ce qui représente un investissement total d’environ 325 millions de dollars. De plus, 190 subventions transitoires s’inscrivant dans une annonce de priorités ont été accordées, pour un total de plus de 22 millions de dollars, et 12 prix supplémentaires pour un montant total de 375 k$.

Le programme de subventions Projet des IRSC a pour but de faire valoir les idées les plus susceptibles de faire progresser les connaissances fondamentales ou appliquées en santé, la recherche en santé, les soins de santé, les systèmes de santé ou les résultats sur la santé.

« Nous sommes très fiers que les chercheurs de l’IR-CUSM et leurs équipes aient atteint un taux de réussite de 24 % cette année pour les subventions de projet des IRSC, ce qui est supérieur à la moyenne nationale, déclare la Dre Rhian Touyz, directrice exécutive et scientifique en chef de l'IR-CUSM. En prenant en compte des annonces de priorités ainsi que nos subventions transitoires, nous pouvons célébrer le fait que 43 % de nos demandes ont porté fruit. Cette réussite démontre notre engagement ainsi que l'excellence de notre communauté de recherche. »
